coolguy, if you want the simple fact this is how you do it:

Step 1: Download the stand-alone patch from blizzard support (google "diablo 2 1.12" or something). This is expansion only, I Think.

Step 2: Either run or save the program. I suggest you save it if you are planning on uninstalling D2 in the future. Then, download, and make sure it's in the same folder as the other programs like "Storm.dll" or "Game".

Step 3: Run the updater: it would say simething like "Bilzzard Updater v. 2.72" or something.

Step 4: Insert the Expansions CD. Next, go to My Computer and mouse over where the CD is.

Step 5: Right-click and select "Open" or "Explore". DO NOT just double-click it. Inside the folder, there would be many files. The ones you're interested in are "D2XVIDEO.mpq" and "D2XMUSIC.mpq". Take both of these and copy to the same directory as the Updater.

Step 6: Now run the game. with the CD still in the drive. It should run without a problem. (If there is, you did something wrong, like remove the MPQ file from the cd rather than copying it).

Step 7: Exit D2 and remove the CD. Run the same game again. It should alo run without a problem. (If you have a problem, you did something wrong...)

i dont wanna be yelled at like the last guy lol. I did try and do it my self this is my last resort, its pissing me off. I downloaded the v1.12 diablo 2 patch on a flash drive and put it on my computer, i tryied to put it in the diablo 2 files. it didnt work. i put it in the save files, the support files, every thing. What am i doing wrong? plz someone give tip or something thanks
